Blog post for this build - www.walkersww.com/blog/a-desk-for-mom Well… I procrastinated o n this one long enough! My mom lost her house in one of the horrible California wildfires in 2020. We moved her onto our property and she bought a big park model RV to live in. Any of you that have stayed in an RV for any length of time know the amenities and furniture quality in them is pretty sub par. I ...

Painters tape DID NOT hold for me!!! Dang it. I'm using chainsaw milled slabs, so it's not super smooth. Any suggestions to fill cracks on the underside? Hot glue? Some kind of caulking? All of my epoxy ran out under the ground through tape, flashing, anything I could find…

When attaching the base to the top I prefer to drive my first pocket hole then square it up using the corner to corner measuring method and then flush trim the plywood. But thanks for the video man! Subscribing.

I keep seeing these videos. Rust oleum is a thing that is made to stop rust on surfaces like this I use it, and yes it chips, and breaks away eventually but I don't have rust. And I have a ton of humidity In my garage right now.

Admittedly that's the way they laminate stuff - but it's for high-stress / load use - trusses come to mind. Save your glue next time and just do each corner. You can break it down again with a coping saw or wire saw, etc..

It may have been asked but would I have issues with black epoxy staining the wood? All my bigger voids I coat in clear and then fill with black but I have some fine cracks that I obviously can't clear coat first. Thanks!

Bondo \m/'s. I use to use it when moving hinge and latch placement on doors. No wait time. I'm a vendor for Depot. Even worked out of your store 11 years ago. No shame in using Ryobi. I've got a few of their tools. Nailer, belt sander, hot glue gun. Does the job. Thank you for all your effort. I know better than most all the work that goes into producing a video. It doesn't just jump out of the camera to UA-cam...

The link for the router bit does NOT take you to the bit, just the retailer's main page. PLEASE either fix the link, or put the FULL description of the router bit, so we can search for it on the retailer's website.

Really liked the idea of the 2x4s and creating an air gap for the insulation, but would've liked to know if you ever did anything to the ceiling area and if you ever planned to make this an air conditioned space.
